City Logo design tilt still open

The City Tourism division under the office of the mayor continues to accept entries for the logo design competition launched last month in line with the celebration of the 70th Dia de la Ciudad de Zamboanga or Charter Anniversary.

The competition is open to all Zamboangueno visual artists and is centered on the subject “Ciudad de Zamboanga—Asia’s Latin City”.

City Tourism Officer Sarita Hernandez said entries may still be submitted to her office on or before the end of office hours on Thursday, March 15. The City Tourism Division is located at the Sunken Garden in front of City Hall.

Prizes at stake are P5, 000 for the first prize; P3, 000 for the second place and P2, 000 for the third place.

The logo should depict the essential or representational icon about ZamboangaCity with its new brand name as “Asia’s Latin City”. Artists may either be computer generated artwork/design, oil on canvass or water color/acrylic/poster color medium.

Finished logo must be not less than 12” x 18” and must be placed on a hard material, either illustration board or plywood.

The first winning entry will be used as official logo of Zamboanga’s newest global branding image.

Announcement of winners will be made through radio, television and newspapers.  (City Hall PIO)
