Election ban set for SK polls

The City Government will be observing the election ban mandated by the Commission on Election (COMELEC) in line with the forthcoming special Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on February 25.

As provided in COMELEC Resolution 9905, the election ban will be put into effect beginning this Thursday, January 22 to March 2.

Health ordinances up for review

City Health Officer Dr. Rodelin Agbulos disclosed during the presscon held at city hall on Monday, that the office will pay close attention to health-related ordinances in the city following the maiden meeting of the Local Health Board.

Heart disease tops 2014 causes of death

Heart disease topped the list of prevalent causes of death in 2014, according to City Health Officer Dr. Rodel Agbulos.

Agbulos said heart disease has been consistent in the causes of death every year. Second is Cardiovascular (CVD) and Cerebrovascular Disease (CVA) like hypertension and stroke.

The city government through the City Human Resource Management Office yesterday tendered a simple yet fitting program in honor of the 21 employees who have just retired from service.
